Client Profile: Corse Motorsport & Ash Samadi
Envirage is currently working in collaboration with Corse Motorsport in the preparation and race engineering of Ash's Mosler at every round of the Australian GT Championship.
During this collaboration, Envirage has built a complete suspension model of the Mosler and has intergrated that into a Load Transfer model which allows the team to simulate the effects of suspension changes. With limited time in testing and during practice sessions, this allows the team to choose anti-roll bar, ride-height and aerodynamic settings, etc. which will give the desired change to the car's handling without producing the disadvantages. Often, the car will see many simultaneous changes in ride height, anti-roll bar stiffness, damper settings and wing settings with confidence of the relative effect of each setting. Corse Motorsport have pushed the car to it's limits in performance whilst also having refined the car so that it is entirely reliable. Using all of the measurements and data acquired from the Mosler, Envirage has built a complete simulation model which allows the team to effect suspension, engine and aerodynamic changes at each circuit before even going there. Every circuit has been driven numerous times before the car is prepared for the event.
Ash is part of the Envirage Driver Development Program, which uses data and video from the racing car, as well as a driving simulator to help Ash improve as a racing and test driver. Before every event, Envirage and Ash discuss the approach to each circuit and then spend hours on the simulator working on the driving lines, choice of gear, as well as perfecting trail-braking, vision and overtaking. Ash is also being coached in the preparation of track walking and taking track notes.
