Peter Bennett's MG had always shown to have excellent power and in the hands of Glen Taylor the GTB could produce race wins. Despite this, with the competition moving ahead the team saw the need to improve the handling of the car. Envirage measured the suspension and, with the aid of a complete 3D kinematic analysis, suggested some modifications to the kinematics to optimise the front motion ratio and steering forces. Envirage also suggested improvements in the spring and damping arrangement to tune the car to the slick racing tyres.
Envirage also used its extensive experience in safety cage analysis to advise the team on structural improvements to the cars roll cage to bring it up to current safety standards.
Envirage is currently on a testing and development program with the MG and is preparing the car for the CUE Endurance series.
